Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the DX Live Line app and website (together, "DX Live Line", "we") collect, why, and the choices you have. DX Live Line shows live cricket scores, scorecards, commentary, schedules and points tables. You do not need an account to use it.

1. Information we do not collect

• We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or any login.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or precise location.
• We do not sell your information to anyone.

2. Information we collect

• Notification token (app only). To send you match alerts (toss, wickets, innings break, results and announcements), the app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging. Firebase gives your app installation a random token. We do not store this token on our servers; the app subscribes to notification topics and Google delivers messages to it. You can turn live match alerts off inside the app (More → Live match notifications) or turn off all notifications in your phone's settings.
• Basic technical data. Like every website, our server receives your IP address and browser/app version when you load scores. We use it only to deliver the content, keep the service secure and stop abuse (for example, limiting too many requests). It is stored in a shortened, hashed form for a few minutes and is not used to identify you.
• Anonymous counts. We count how many times banners and WhatsApp buttons are viewed or tapped, as daily totals. These counts are not linked to you or your device.
• Settings on your device. Your theme (dark/light) and notification choice are saved only on your own device.

3. Third-party services

• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers notifications. See Firebase privacy information.
• Sports data provider. Scores come from a third-party cricket data provider through our server. Your device does not connect to that provider directly and no personal information is sent to it.
• WhatsApp and external links. If you tap a WhatsApp button or a banner, it opens WhatsApp or another website/app. What you share there is governed by that service's own privacy policy.

4. Advertising

DX Live Line may show banner promotions that we place ourselves. We do not use third-party advertising networks that track you, and we do not build advertising profiles.

5. Security and retention

All data between the app and our server is sent over encrypted HTTPS. Technical request data is kept for a short time only (minutes to days, for security). Anonymous daily counts may be kept longer.

6. Children

DX Live Line is a general sports app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your choices

• Turn notifications off in the app or in your phone's settings.
• Uninstalling the app removes the notification token and all settings stored on your device.
• Because we do not hold an account or personal profile for you, there is no personal data on our servers to delete. If you have any request, contact us below.

8. Disclaimer

DX Live Line is an independent app and is not affiliated with the BCCI, IPL, ICC or any cricket board, league or team. Names of tournaments and teams are used only to describe the matches shown. Scores may sometimes be delayed.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
